Changelogs Overview
Ververica manages generally available changes (available to all users) using Updates (Major and Minor), Maintenance Updates, and Deprecations.
Updates
Any type of Update can introduce new features, improvements, interfaces changes, bug fixes, or security patches.
Major Update
Any change to Ververica Cloud that requires changes to any Users application or 3rd party services to continue working as before.

Performance profile could be problematically altered. May be totally transparent without impact, depending on how Users uses Ververica Cloud services.
- Communication before update: Guaranteed email notifications to all registered Ververica Cloud Users before the scheduled update date. Communication will include change details and available options for users to enable least disruptive transition. Guaranteed updated documentation and release notes. May also include in app/services messaging. communication from Sales and Support. Communication before update will be done in timely manner, taking into account Users application impact, completely at Ververica discretion.
- Update schedule for all users: May be coordinated with Users to avoid high risk periods and/or to make the update earlier than planned, however the final decision about scheduled time is up to Ververica.
