Manage Payment Method
Depending on how you created your workspace, you will manage your payment method either through Ververica (credit card) or Amazon Marketplace.
Ververica-Managed Payment
If you want to use Ververica Cloud’s PAYG or RC offerings, you will need to set up a payment method. You will also need to do this if you have set up a Start for Free account and the trial period has run out (assuming you want to continue using the account).
Ververica Cloud only supports a single credit card account as the payment method, and this applies at the user account level. This card will be charged for all workspaces that you create.
Add Default Payment Method
You can add your credit card details in one of two ways:

Before creating any workspace
- From the account menu, select Payment.
- Click Add default payment method.
- Enter your credit card details.
- Click Save.
noteYou can also click the prompt at the top of the Dashboard to open the Payment page. This prompt appears until you have set a payment method.

When creating your first workspace
- During workspace creation, you will be prompted to Add Payment Method if no credit card is added.
- Provide your credit card details.
- Complete the workspace creation flow.
Change Default Payment Method
Via Account Menu
You can change the details for the credit card used to make payments for your Ververica Cloud account.
The new credit card details will apply to all the workspaces that you own. You can only have one payment method defined (you cannot set up multiple payment methods and switch between them).
To change your default payment method:
- Click the Profile menu button and choose Payment.
- In the Payment method section, click Edit.
- Edit the credit card details as required.
- Click Save.
When Creating a New Workspace
You can also change your default payment method when creating a new PAYG or RC workspace.
Using this method, you are also given the option to change your Billing Information as part of the process.

Amazon Marketplace Payment
If you have created a BYOC or RC workspace, your billing and payment details are managed through AWS Marketplace instead of Ververica’s payment flow. This means:
- AWS handles your charges.
- Ververica does not store your credit card information.
- Invoices and payment history are found in your AWS Billing console.
