Expiration management (Start for Free)

If you join Ververica Cloud with a Start for Free account, this topic explains how we manage the resources upon expiration of the free trial period or credit.

If either of the following conditions is met, your free trial workspace will be suspended for 7 days:

  • Remaining credit reaches 0.

  • Free trial period reaches 30 days.

During the 7-day suspension:

  • All the compute resources of the Start for Free workspace will be released. All your metadata and data remains. This means that all Deployments and/or Session clusters will be stopped. You will not have access to your Start for Free workspace Console.

  • If you fill in your payment and billing details within the suspension period, your workspace compute resources will be available again, you regain workspace console access, and you can continue using your workspace Console with the meta-data and data you created prior to suspension.

After the 7-day suspension period:

  • If you have not added payment and billing details, all Start for Free workspace content, meta-data, data and resources will be deleted, including any leftover free credit.

  • Your Free to Start workspace will be removed.
