Artifacts
Ververica Cloud provides simple file storage per workspace that enables you to upload files and reference them in Deployments. This article introduces you to artifact management in the Flink fully managed console.
See Connecting with external file systems for information on the s3i and s3 schemas when communicating with external S3 services via your own S3 connector (e.g. for sources and sinks).
Configure Bucket CORS
The console uploads artifacts directly from your browser to your workspace bucket. For this to work, add a CORS rule to the bucket that allows:
- Origin: the address of the Ververica Cloud console, as shown in your browser's address bar (scheme and host only, for example
https://<console-host>). - Methods:
PUT. You can also allowGET. - Headers:
Content-Type. On Azure Blob Storage, also allowx-ms-blob-type.
Your users' browsers must also be able to reach the bucket. If the bucket blocks the request, the upload fails with the cloud provider's own "not authorized" message.
If your storage can't accept requests from your users' browsers, ask Ververica Support to enable relay transfer for your account. With relay transfer, files travel through the secure connection to your data plane instead, and no CORS rule is needed.
Upload Artifact
- On the Dashboard page, open the console for the workspace you want to manage.
- In the Console navigation pane, click Artifacts.
- Click Upload artifact.
- Select the required file.
- Once uploaded, the artifact will appear in the list on the Artifacts page.
Files you upload on the Artifacts page, such as JAR files for deployments, can be up to 200 MB, or up to 1 GB if your account uses relay transfer. Connector, catalog, and UDF files that you upload from their own pages can be up to 200 MB.
For files over 100 MB, the console asks you to confirm before it uploads them. The console refuses a file over the limit and shows the limit in the error message.
Download Artifact
- On the Dashboard page, open the console for the workspace you want to manage.
- In the Console navigation pane, click Artifacts.
- Click Download in the Actions column.
Your browser saves the file in the same tab, and the download shows in your browser's download list. Large files can take a few seconds to start.
Delete Artifact
If an artifact is no longer used, you can delete it by following the steps below.
- On the Dashboard page, open the console for the workspace you want to manage.
- In the Console navigation pane, click Artifacts.
- Click Delete in the Actions column.
Once deleted, the Artifact will disappear from the list on the Artifacts page.
